Highway checkpoint, arrest of a group of criminals who were fleeing
On the afternoon of May 19, the Traffic Police Department announced that the working group of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Department of Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance; Traffic Police Department) had just coordinated with the functional forces of Binh Phuoc and Khanh Hoa provinces to intercept and arrest criminals who were on the run.
Previously, at 3:30 p.m. on May 18, the Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Department received information from Binh Phuoc Provincial Police about a car with license plate number 90H-035.03 carrying a suspect who had just committed a crime in Binh Phuoc heading towards Ninh Thuan.

The car was identified to have passed Du Long Station - Ninh Thuan at 13:28 the same day.
Faced with the above situation, the Command Board of the Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Department urgently directed Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 to deploy forces into many working groups including Traffic Police and Riot Police to intercept and stop vehicles.
At 4:50 p.m. at Km299 Van Gia intersection, Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway (Van Binh commune, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province), the working group led by Major Tran Xuan Khanh stopped car 90H-035.03.

Upon inspection, the driver was Nguyen Van Th. (born in 1980); the 3 people in the car were Vu The Hoa (born in 1995), Ta Ngoc Huu (born in 1984) and Tran Van Hiep (born in 1991).
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 then coordinated with the functional unit of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police to hand over the driver and passengers in car 90H-035.03 and related documents to Binh Phuoc Provincial Police for investigation and settlement in accordance with the provisions of law.
It is known that also on the night of May 18 and early morning of May 19, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 coordinated with Dong Nai Provincial Police to organize an ambush on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and caught a subject who stole fiber optic cables of the Expressway System.
The arrested subject is Nguyen Kim Tung (born in 1985) with evidence of a sack containing 150m of electric cable and some theft tools such as pliers and crowbar.
The working group proceeded to hand over to Dong Nai Provincial Police to continue verifying, investigating and handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
