Host Nghe An won the opening match of the 2020 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) – The Group A round of the National A-Class Volleyball Tournament has begun in Cua Lo town (Nghe An). The Nghe An women's team has won the opening match against the Thai Nguyen team.
Authorized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nghe An province coordinated with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to organize the 2020 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament. On the night of June 20, at Cua Lo Town Gymnasium, the opening ceremony of the 2020 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament took place.

Attending the Opening Ceremony and watching the first match of the tournament were delegates: Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; representatives of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation; leaders of the Department of Culture & Sports of Nghe An, Cua Lo Town and a number of departments and branches.
The 2020 National Class A Volleyball Championship includes 8 men's teams including: Mobile Police Command; Military Region 3, Phu Tho Police, Hai Duong Police, Military Sports Center, Da Nang, Ninh Binh, Hanoi.

There are 9 women's teams divided into 2 groups including: Nghe An, Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Thai Binh, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Hau Giang. In total, the tournament has the participation of 17 teams with more than 200 officials, coaches, and athletes.
According to the draw results, Nghe An women's team is in the same group with Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Binh. The tournament starts from June 20 to June 30, 2020.
Immediately after the opening ceremony was the match between Nghe An and Thai Nguyen women's teams. As a result, the home team Nghe An won convincingly with a score of 3-0 (25-9; 25-21; 25-13).
