Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front attended the Great Solidarity Festival with Thai people in Tuong Duong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 89th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day, on the morning of November 7, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited and celebrated with the people of Cooc village, Yen Hoa commune (Tuong Duong).
Cooc Village currently has a natural area of 550 hectares, but only 7.2 hectares of land for wet rice production. The village has 113 households with 429 people, the Thai ethnic group accounts for 94.7%, the rest are Kinh ethnic group. People mainly live on agricultural production, the village has 21 poor and near-poor households.

Implementing the policies of the Party and the State, in 2019, Cooc village invested in intensive production from 2 rice crops to 3 crops/year. People also take advantage of the land to grow valuable vegetables such as peanuts, biomass corn, cucumbers, winter vegetables, etc.
Livestock farming in the village also develops strongly..Currently, the total herd of buffalo, pigs and goats is nearly 600; poultry is nearly 1,000. Notably, 100% of households in the village raise buffalo and cows in captivity to improve livestock efficiency and economic value. The material and spiritual life of the villagers is constantly improving and enhancing.

Cooc village, Yen Hoa commune (Tuong Duong) was formed in 1956, with the old name in Thai as Co Pao (meaning Coconut Tree). When it was first formed, this community had only 4 households.
