Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy: Nghe An commits to allocating sufficient capital to implement the Cua Hoi bridge project.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy, Nghe An has a plan to allocate capital as planned to implement the Cua Hoi bridge project across the Lam River.

40% project progress completed
The Cua Hoi bridge project across Lam River in Nghe An province has a total investment of 950 billion VND, including 450 billion VND of government bond capital and 500 billion VND of budget capital from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces (Nghe An province 250 billion VND and Ha Tinh province 250 billion VND) to carry out site clearance work.
According to the report of Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Transport), up to now, the entire construction site of the bridge and about 90% of the construction site of the approach road have been cleared and handed over to the contractor for construction.
The remaining 10% of the area within the intersection, residential roads and part of the main route including 9 households and high-voltage power lines, water lines, and telecommunication cables has been approved by the People's Committee of Cua Lo town for compensation with a total cost of about 18.2 billion VND.

Currently, contractors are simultaneously implementing all items, the construction progress meets the requirements. The value of the completed volume is about 180 billion VND, reaching 40% in Nghe An and 30% in Ha Tinh according to the contract value.
Regarding the project's capital, according to the plan, in 2019 the Ministry of Transport will allocate enough for the project 330 billion VND from government bond capital. Up to now, Project Management Board 6 has paid and disbursed all capital for the bridge construction to the implementing units.

For Nghe An province, according to the commitment of the Provincial People's Committee, in 2018, sufficient funds for compensation and site clearance (about 30 billion VND) will be allocated; in 2019 and 2020, 50% of the remaining funds will be allocated (about 110 billion VND for each year).
However, up to now, only 31 billion VND has been allocated for site clearance using the 2019 provincial budget advance; construction capital has not been allocated.
Allocate capital for project implementation
At the meeting, Project Management Board 6 requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly arrange funds for site clearance as proposed by the People's Committee of Cua Lo town to promptly hand over the entire site to the contractor; arrange sufficient capital for construction and installation in 2019 (110 billion VND) for the project as committed by the Provincial People's Committee.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy highly appreciated the project progress of the units and emphasized that the Cua Hoi bridge project across the Lam River is one of the 7 key projects of the province. Therefore, the province will have a plan to arrange budget sources to implement the project. In the immediate future, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Cua Lo town to closely coordinate with the Department of Finance to arrange funds to conduct compensation and site clearance.
As for the construction capital (110 billion VND in 2019) for the project, it is included in the province's budget allocation plan.
