Car owner panics after broken windows and stolen parts
(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with the situation of cars parked on the street continuously having their windows broken by thieves to steal property and remove spare parts, many car owners are confused and worried but do not know how to deal with it.
Most recently, on the evening of February 4, Mr. Tran Quoc Hoan, house number 24/10B Nguyen Van Troi street, block 9, Ben Thuy ward, parked his motorbike on the street and went home to sleep. When he woke up in the morning, Mr. Hoan discovered that the front passenger window was smashed to pieces. Inside, a rock had been left by a thief. Checking the property in the car, Mr. Hoan discovered that a dash cam worth 3 million VND had been taken by a thief.

Mr. Hoan said that normally he would drive his car into the yard, but today he saw many cars parked outside on the street, so he parked them against the wall and went inside to sleep. Although he had heard about the situation of breaking car windows to steal property, he did not expect the thieves to be so reckless.
Immediately after the incident, Mr. Hoan went to Ben Thuy Ward Police (Vinh City) to report the incident. A representative of Ben Thuy Ward Police said that this was not the first case of someone reporting a burglary. The unit has now filed a report and reported it to Vinh City Police to investigate and clarify the incident.
Previously, on the evening of January 26, at Lane 173, Nguyen Truong To Street, there were two consecutive incidents of breaking car windows to steal things. The thieves broke the glass on the passenger side of the door of two Mazda and Camry cars parked in front of the house. The incident happened around 9 p.m. The thieves took away some money and many other valuable documents. The police went to the scene to take statements and prepare a case file.

Not only were the windows smashed, many cars also had their logos, gas caps, gill covers, and rear cameras removed by thieves... On the evening of February 5, Mr. Phuoc, a resident of Le Mao Ward (Vinh City), parked his car on Dinh Cong Trang Street. In the morning, Mr. Phuoc discovered that the car's logo and rear camera had been stolen. According to Mr. Phuoc, to replace it, he had to spend about 10 million VND to buy equipment from the company.
Discussing this situation, Colonel Tran Ngoc Tu - Head of Vinh City Police said that the unit has received many reports from people about thieves breaking windows to steal property and many car parts. Currently, the unit is actively investigating and clarifying.
It is known that the situation of breaking car windows to steal property has appeared in Vinh City for about 3 years now and has been on the rise recently. Usually, car window breaking thefts are due to people subjectively leaving valuables in the car without anyone watching, creating conditions for thieves to steal.

Therefore, to protect their property, people should not subjectively leave valuables such as wallets, computers, phones, etc. in their cars when parking outside the gate, alley or in places without security. In addition, when an incident occurs, it is necessary to promptly report it to the nearest police station for investigation and clarification.
