Chubb Life Vietnam donates teaching and learning equipment to primary schools in disadvantaged areas

(Baonghean) - On the occasion of the 2016 school year, Chubb Life Vietnam Company organized a donation of necessary equipment to support teaching and learning activities at 4 primary schools that were previously sponsored by Chubb Life to build new schools from 2011 to 2014.

On the occasion of the new school year in September 2016, through the Central Region Disaster Prevention Support Fund, Chubb Charitable Foundation - International in collaboration with Chubb Life Vietnam donated computers, book libraries and English classrooms with a total sponsorship value of 900 million VND to 4 schools: Xuan Lam Primary School (Phu Yen), Trieu Do Primary School No. 1 (Quang Tri), Quang Thanh Primary School No. 2 (Thua Thien Hue) and Vinh Thanh Primary School No. 2 (Nghe An).

Mr. Lam Hai Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Chubb Life Vietnam, shared: “Caring for the future of the younger generation is a common duty of the whole society. The activities of supporting the construction of schools in recent years, as well as the donation of teaching and learning equipment this time, are ways for Chubb Life to contribute to creating long-term and sustainable values ​​for localities that still face many difficulties in Vietnam. We believe that new schools with better teaching and learning conditions will be a solid launching pad for many generations of students to go further on the path of education, becoming useful citizens for society in the future. Participating in social activities is also one of the top priorities of Chubb Life Vietnam. Since its establishment, Chubb Life has actively contributed to the development of education in Vietnam through the activities of the “Crossing Waves with You” Fund - a charity fund established by Chubb Life in Vietnam.

To date, the “Crossing the Waves with You” Fund has sponsored a total of nearly VND19 billion for educational support activities, including: funding the construction and upgrading of 6 primary schools in localities affected by natural disasters; supporting teaching and learning equipment; and awarding scholarships to more than 1,200 students from all over the country. The return and continued sponsorship to improve the learning conditions of students has demonstrated Chubb Life’s spirit of always caring, following and accompanying the future buds of the country.
