Transforming market management model

Currently, there are 405 markets in operation in Nghe An province. Besides some markets that have been invested in upgrading and renovating to serve the buying and selling needs of the people, there are still many temporary markets that are not safe during the rainy season, and do not have enough equipment to ensure fire prevention and fighting, environmental protection according to prescribed standards...

At the conference, delegates were informed of legal regulations on market management and development in the area; procedures for converting market management models in the area (Decision No. 72/2016/QD-UBND dated December 8, 2016 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee).
Mr. Duong Van Chien - Chairman of Vietnam Market Development Association also shared some experiences in management, investment, construction and effective conversion of market management model.
To promote market management and development, the Government issued Decree No. 02/2003/ND-CP dated January 14, 2003 on market development and management; Decree No. 114/2009/ND-CP dated December 23, 2009 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 02. Accordingly, Nghe An province has also issued investment policy mechanisms for market development such as Decision 56 dated August 4, 2020 on policies to support investment in building rural markets in the province until 2020; Decision 5759 dated December 27, 2011 approving the project to plan the development of the market network in the province for the period 2011-2020...

Through the conference, delegates were updated and supplemented with knowledge on developing, managing and exploiting markets effectively, better serving people's needs and in accordance with the actual requirements of socio-economic development of the province./.
