54/63 provinces and centrally-run cities use GRDP data for the 2017-2020 period.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 11, the Ministry of Planning and Investment held a national online conference to summarize 5 years of implementing the Project on innovation of the process of compiling Gross Domestic Product data in provinces and centrally run cities. Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong - Director General of the General Statistics Office chaired the conference. Also attending were representatives of leaders of central ministries and branches.
At Nghe An bridge, comrade Phan Truong Son - Party Secretary, Director of the Provincial Statistics Office chaired. Also attending were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.
The GRDP compilation and publication process has been running for 4 years with 8 compilation and publication periods, including 4 periods for the first 6 months of the year and 4 periods for the whole year.

Overall assessment at the conference, although in the process of adjustment and completion, the new Process shows high feasibility with many outstanding advantages compared to before; data qualityGRDPhas been raised, reflecting more accurately the current situation and socio-economic development trends of localities; trusted and used by subjects, especially local Party committees and authorities.

In Nghe An, the implementation of the Project is being carried out synchronously.General Statistics Officereviewed and compared data; coordinated with departments and branches to provide input data to the General Statistics Office in a complete and objective manner to serve the compilation of GRDP indicators in accordance with regulations; including information: Main products of the Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Industry sectors; Industrial production index; Total social investment capital; State budget revenue and expenditure; Currency, banking, lottery business activities and social insurance; Transport revenue, Post and telecommunications, Total retail sales of goods and revenue of service sectors...
In her concluding remarks at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Director General of the General Statistics Office, requested that ministries and branches continue to provide timely, complete and accurate information to serve the compilation and publication of GRDP to the General Statistics Office; develop, sign and effectively implement regulations and agreements on information exchange and sharing.
