'Milk Tea Girl' is China's youngest female billionaire
According to the annual list of the economic magazine New Fortune (China), Zhang Zetian (24 years old) and her husband are in the top 500 richest people in the country.
She is the wife of Liu Qiangdong, founder of e-commerce website JD.com, a major rival of Alibaba... She became China's youngest billionaire. In 2009, thanks to a photo of her holding a cup of milk tea, Zhang Zetian suddenly became a "hot girl" who received special attention from the public with the nickname "milk tea girl".

In 2011, Zhang Zetian was admitted to Tsinghua University, the most prestigious university in China. She then participated in a 1-year transfer program at Barnard College (USA). There, she met her future husband, Liu Qiangdong.
In 2014, she appeared in a promotional video for the Nanjing Youth Olympics. Not wanting to polish her image, she turned down roles in Zhang Yimou’s films “House of Flying Daggers” and “The Great Wall.”

Zhang Zetian and her husband own a fortune of up to 38.82 billion yuan. According to Forbes' list of China's richest people, Liu Qiangdong had the 16th largest net worth in China in 2016. Forbes also ranked Liu as the 174th richest billionaire in the world.
Together, they have invested in at least eight different companies across a range of sectors, including Bubs Australia, an Australian infant formula company with a 17.3% stake. Her celebrity is said to be the company’s hope for market access to achieve high results in the dairy export industry.

JD.com had more than 236 million active customer accounts in fiscal 2016. The success of JD.com's website cannot be attributed to Zhang Zetian, who has helped promote the website's fashion and luxury brands.
In March 2017, Zhang met billionaire Bill Gates at JD’s public goods fundraising kickoff. In April this year, she represented JD at the American Apparel and Apparel Association Gala. She recently attended red carpet events at the Cannes Film Festival.
