To express condolences and gratitude, the Party and State of Vietnam have decided to hold a national mourning ceremony for Cuban leader Fidel Castro on December 4. In Hanoi, since this morning, flags have been flown at half-mast in many places.
To express condolences, gratitude and based on the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front decided to hold a state funeral for Cuban leader Fidel Castro on December 4, 2016. During this time, agencies and offices nationwide and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad will fly flags at half-mast and wear mourning bands as prescribed, and no public entertainment activities will be organized.

The form of flag hanging at half-mast is to have a mourning ribbon with a size equal to 1/10 of the width of the flag, the length of the flag, and only hang the flag to 2/3 of the height of the flagpole, using a black cloth band to tie the flag so it does not fly. |
