Previously, on the afternoon of May 29, 3 students including Tran Thanh Trung (5A grade student), Tran Thu Huong (1C grade student) and Tran Viet Hung (4C grade student) of Dien Quang Primary School, Dien Chau District, Nghe An went down to the lake where the Water Supply and Drainage Company was constructing to swim, unfortunately drowned and died.

Leaders of Nghe An Department of Education and Training visited and encouraged the families of the 3 unfortunate students.

The heartbreaking incident occurred, the Department of Education and Training organized a visit to encourage and share the pain and loss of the families of the 3 students.

The Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district and Dien Quang Primary School, immediately after hearing the news that a student of the school had fallen into the lake and died, were present with the family to arrange the burial for the three students.

On the morning of May 30, teacher Luong Thi Hanh and the students of class 4C came to burn incense for Tran Viet Hung. The students had just finished their school year at school, so they quietly burned incense for their friend in their uniforms.

The homeroom teacher and classmates came to burn incense and transfer the certificate of merit and awards for the 2015-2016 school year to the altar of Tran Viet Hung.

Ms. Hanh could not hold back her tears, as she placed the certificate of merit and award on Hung’s altar, she said: “Hung is a good student and a good student. Yesterday afternoon, when I heard that my student had drowned, I rushed to his house. The incident was so unexpected and heartbreaking.”

On the local government side, Mr. Phan Hong Long, Party Secretary of Dien Quang Commune, Dien Chau District, said: The incident of the drowning student that just happened in the commune is extremely heartbreaking. Currently, the local government has organized visits, encouraged and supported each family with 5 million VND to bury the children.
