Teacher and student My Tam - Duc Phuc sing a duet in "Brilliant Years"
The humorous teacher-student duo of 'The Voice 2015' and many other singers participated in the music production for the movie 'Glorious Years'.
"Ranging Years" - the latest film by director Nguyen Quang Dung is a remake of the famous Korean film 'Sunny'. Because it is set in Vietnam in the 70s, the film not only has careful investment in setting and design, but also the soundtrack is specially taken care of.
According to director Nguyen Quang Dung and music director Duc Tri, the music in the film will be a blend of old and new music, bringing a nostalgic yet modern sound. Along with the film's main female cast and singer Pham Anh Khoa, the humorous teacher-student duo My Tam and Duc Phuc will also contribute their voices to this movie.
Behind the scenes of music production of the movie 'Glorious Years'
Having been close to Nguyen Quang Dung for a long time, My Tam originally suggested to her director brother that she produce the soundtrack for 'Rangy Years' right after seeing the first cut of the film. However, because she was too busy with her own projects, My Tam asked musician Duc Tri to take on this responsibility, and she would use her personal feelings about the film's story to perform the song.
In contrast to his "master", young man Duc Phuc will have the opportunity to renew an old song titled 'Last Chant' by musician Ngo Thuy Mien. Musician Duc Tri shared that director Dung Khung wanted to find a young singer to perform the old lyrics, and Duc Phuc's gentle and narrative voice completely fits the director's requirements as well as the song.
As of now, the soundtrack for 'Glorious Years' has not been revealed. The film is scheduled to be released in March 2018.
