US President Donald Trump's eldest daughter-in-law was hospitalized after receiving a letter containing white powder.White House sources said that Vanessa Trump was taken to a hospital in Manhattan, New York City, for examination after receiving a letter containing a suspicious white powder sent to her home.

NBC quoted New York authorities as saying that the letter contained the address and name of Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of the current US President and his ex-wife Ivana.

According to sources, after the letter was opened, three people were present in the apartment of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa and were taken to the Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York.

No one was injured in the incident and the white powder is likely harmless, New York police said. However, New York authorities are sending the white powder to a lab for further analysis.

President Trump’s legal representative, Michael Cohen, strongly condemned the incident. “Who would do this to a mother of five? This is a dangerous and reckless act,” Michael Cohen emphasized.

Police said Vanessa Trump called 911 to report coughing and nausea after opening the letter./.
