According to the indictment, in March 2013, Hau went to his aunt's house in Binh Phuoc to help harvest crops and met a man named Thien. Hau was given a K54 gun with 8 bullets by Thien, and told to bring it home in Lang Son to hide.
Hau contacted Ly Vy Nang (51 years old, residing in China) to sell these weapons for more than 30 million VND, equivalent to 80 drug pills.
Hau then invited his father to go to China to meet Nang to discuss the gun trade in more detail. From the summer of 2013 to the end of 2014, Hau and his father had 7 transactions with Nang.
As a supplier, when he had "goods", Thien would hide them in fruit crates and send them by bus on the Binh Phuoc - Lang Son route. Hau would receive them and then give them to Nang to sell in China. For each successful transaction, Hau would pay Thien 16 million VND.
Authorities accused Hau and San of illegally trading military weapons 7 times, including 6 K54 guns, 1 K59 gun and 56 bullets. The transaction amounted to more than 210 million VND./.
