The Investigation Police Agency of Thai Binh Province confirmed the incident and said they are temporarily detaining Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1972), residing in Trung Hoa Village, Viet Thuan Commune, Vu Thu District, Thai Binh.

Latest information on the murder case in Thai Binh, at around 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (August 11), at house number 613 Ly Bon street, Tran Lam ward, Thai Binh city, a serious murder occurred, causing 2 deaths.

At that time, Nguyen Van Tuan went to the house of Ms. Bui Thi Hue (1978) residing at the above address to collect a debt. During the debt collection, a conflict arose, Tuan used a kitchen knife he was carrying to stab Ms. Hue and Ms. Nguyen Thi Tinh (60 years old), killing both on the spot.

Mrs. Tinh was hacked to death when she ran out to call for help.

Immediately after the incident, Thai Binh Provincial Police were present at the scene to immediately arrest the suspect, examine the scene and the body to clarify the case.

Nguyen Van Tuan was arrested immediately after committing the crime.

According to information from the police, Nguyen Van Tuan was previously married to Mrs. Tinh’s daughter, Bui Thi Huong, but the two divorced. Before divorcing Tuan, Ms. Huong went to work in Taiwan and sent money back to her father-in-law to pay off Ms. Hue’s debt (Ms. Hue lent Ms. Huong money to complete the procedures to go to Taiwan). After that, Tuan often went to Ms. Hue’s house to collect the debt.

The case is being urgently investigated by Thai Binh police.
