Nghe An: Searching for the owner of the car that hit and killed an old woman on Highway 7A and then fled

(Baonghean.vn) - Anh Son district police and relatives are searching for the car that hit an old woman to death and injured another, then fled without stopping to help the victims.

On the morning of January 2, the Anh Son District Police (Nghe An) said that they are sending forces to search for the car that caused a fatal accident on National Highway 7A (through Hamlet 11, Tuong Son Commune, Anh Son District, Nghe An) and then fled. Currently, the Criminal Police Team is actively searching for the car and the heartless driver.

Yesterday (January 1), Anh Son District Police released photos of the car wreckage left at the scene and images extracted from security cameras on National Highway 7A for people to provide relevant information about the accident.

LikeBaonghean.vnreported that on the afternoon of December 29, 2018, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bay (born in 1942) and Ms. Tran Thi Truc (born in 1938, both living in Hamlet 11, Tuong Son Commune) and everyone in the self-management group went to Mr. Le Thanh Dong's house to have a meeting of the self-management group and celebrate the end of 2018. After finishing eating and drinking, at about 6:05 p.m. on December 29, 2018, Ms. Bay and Ms. Truc walked together to National Highway 7A to go home. When they reached the section at km 64+100m of National Highway 7A (in Hamlet 11, Tuong Son Commune, near the entrance to Regiment 335), a traffic accident occurred.

After the accident, the car driver left Mrs. Bay and Mrs. Truc, who were seriously injured, lying on the National Highway in the drizzling, freezing cold weather. The car driver fled to avoid responsibility. Mrs. Bay and Mrs. Truc were discovered by relatives and people, who took them to the hospital for emergency treatment. Due to severe injuries, Mrs. Bay died later.

Anh Son District Police added: At the scene, the Anh Son District Police Investigation Agency seized some debris of the car that caused the accident.

To facilitate the investigation process, we would like to receive assistance from individuals and organizations to provide relevant information about the above accident. Especially cars with surveillance cameras traveling on National Highway 7A from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on December 29, 2018. Or information related to the white car, broken, dented on the front right side of the car.

Anh Son District Police Department calls on the driver who caused the accident to be a conscientious and responsible person and come to the police station to surrender to clarify the matter.
