Police help people cross flooded roads

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, the Vinh City Police rescue team was mobilized to help people cross flooded roads in Vinh City.

On Quang Trung Street, until 9am this morning, many sections of the road were still flooded nearly 1 meter deep. Therefore, travel on this road and the cross-cutting roads has been completely suspended. In some cases, due to not anticipating the level of flooding, they still tried to enter and most of the vehicles stalled or were damaged.

Present from early morning, the rescue team of Vinh City Police used specialized cars to promptly transfer people and vehicles out of flooded areas. Captain Dang Hong Phu said: This morning, when we were ordered, we left immediately, many people had not had time to eat breakfast. Through the rescue work, we saw that most people did not fully anticipate the impact of last night's rain, so they did not have experience. Many vehicles were damaged and stalled when entering flooded roads.

Among those rescued in time was Nguyen Hong, from Xuan Loc commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh. This morning, at 7:30 am, he took a bus to Vinh to catch the 10 am flight to Hanoi. However, when he arrived in the city, the roads were flooded and the traffic was blocked, making it impossible for vehicles to move.

Knowing his situation, the rescue team went directly to the flooded car and helped him transport the goods to the rescue vehicle to cross the flooded Quang Trung street. Talking about this incident, Mr. Hong said: According to the schedule, after flying to Hanoi this afternoon, I will change planes to go to Korea to work. This morning when I saw the flooded road, I was very worried, but now I can rest assured....
