Two accommodation establishments in Vinh city were fined 180 million VND for violating fire prevention and fighting regulations.
Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An has just signed a decision to administratively sanction two accommodation establishments for putting the construction into operation without completing fire prevention and fighting procedures as prescribed.
Specifically, in Decision No. 58/QD-XPHC signed on June 25, Phuong Tung Motel Private Enterprise (address No. 6, Nguyen Nang Tinh Street, Thu Thuy Ward, Vinh City) was fined 90 million VND.
This enterprise put into operation a newly built 7-storey building connected to a renovated 6-storey building into a block subject to fire prevention and fighting design approval without a Certificate or document of fire prevention and fighting design approval.
Previously, in Decision No. 57/QD-XPHC dated June 19, Thuy Trang Cua Lo Company Limited (located at Block 3, Nghi Huong Ward, Vinh City) was also fined 90 million VND for similar behavior. This enterprise put the 5th, 6th, 7th floors and the attic, the newly built part of Thu Trang Hotel, which was subject to fire prevention and fighting design approval into operation without a Certificate or document of fire prevention and fighting design approval.
In addition to the fines, both businesses were forced to fully comply with the design review and acceptance process and fire safety conditions before continuing operations.
