Police knock on people's doors to distribute anti-crime leaflets

Through the local situation, Tan Ky District Police said that recently, the crime of fraud and property appropriation on the Internet has become more complicated. This type of crime has many tricks and methods that are increasingly sophisticated, causing great damage to property, causing public outrage, and affecting local security and order.

Faced with the above reality, the Criminal Police Team of Tan Ky District Police coordinated with local authorities, police forces, and Youth Unions of communes and towns to go to residential areas and people's homes to propagate and issue more than 120,000 warnings about 16 criminal tricks of high-tech fraud and property appropriation.

Ms. Le Thi Oanh, a resident of Nghia Dong commune, Tan Ky district, shared: "The police force's coordination with departments, sectors and organizations to go to people's homes to propagate and distribute leaflets warning and preventing crimes has helped us know how to avoid the tricks of fraudsters, and at the same time know how to coordinate to detect and denounce crimes."

Previously, Tan Ky District Police also organized a legal education session on cyber security at Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Tan Ky town). Here, students and teachers were given leaflets and warned about the tricks of cyber criminals, thereby gaining more knowledge to prevent and spread awareness to relatives to avoid "losing money and getting sick".

Lieutenant Colonel Dao Van Khoi - Deputy Head of Tan Ky District Police said that, in the face of the complicated situation of fraud and property appropriation crimes on the Internet, Tan Ky District Police has coordinated with functional units to synchronously and drastically deploy professional measures. In particular, the unit pays special attention to receiving and handling reports of crimes. During the process of receiving information, the unit focuses on detecting, investigating, and strictly and thoroughly handling cases of fraud and property appropriation in order to deter and curb the increase of this type of crime.

In particular, if any citizen suspects the activities of a criminal who commits fraud and appropriates property, they should promptly notify the nearest police agency for guidance on how to handle the case./.
