Nghe An police arrested a group of people carrying weapons causing public disorder.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, the Criminal Police Department discovered a group of dozens of teenagers driving motorbikes at high speed, not wearing helmets, carrying three people, covering or removing license plates, carrying marble guns, machetes, beer bottles, shouting, weaving in and out of traffic, causing disorder in Truong Vinh ward, Nghe An province.

The behavior of the subjects affects the security and order of the area. In the face of the above situation, the leaders of the Criminal Police Department have directed professional teams to coordinate with relevant units to verify and clarify.

During the investigation, the police determined that in the early morning of October 7, after celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in the old Nghen town area of ​​Ha Tinh province, more than 20 people residing in Ha Tinh province formed a group and drove on 13 motorbikes to the central wards of Nghe An province (old Vinh city) to race and weave in and out of traffic. When traveling, the group brought with them a marble gun, a machete, and many beer bottles to threaten and intimidate other groups of young people on the road.

By October 9, the Criminal Police Department, in coordination with relevant units, had arrested 24 subjects, including 23 men and 1 woman. Notably, most of the subjects were under 18 years old and were students.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department has issued a decision to temporarily detain 16 subjects for the crime of "Disturbing public order and Intentionally damaging property", handing over the cases under 16 years old to their families to manage. At the same time, the unit continues to verify and arrest the remaining subjects for handling according to the law.
