Previously, in the early morning of April 1, 2025, through the work of grasping the situation, the Vinh City Local Team (under the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police) discovered at an apartment building in Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City, a group of subjects with many suspicious signs of organizing illegal drug use. At 1:15 a.m. on the same day, conducting an inspection, the functional forces discovered and caught 6 subjects red-handed in the act of "Organizing illegal drug use".
6 subjects residing in Vinh city include: Nguyen Van Tra (born 1996); Nguyen Van Thanh (born 1996); Hoang Trung Kien (born 1999); Hua Manh Tung (born 1996); Phan Ba Thanh (born 2000); Phan Sy Nhat (born 1996).
Expanding the investigation, the Provincial Police Department's Criminal Police Department arrested two more subjects: Tran Sy Dung (born 1990) and Dinh Van Hoang (born 1990), both residing in Trung Do ward, Vinh city, for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking".
Total seized exhibits: 9 mobile phones, 3 cars, 150 grams of various drugs and many other evidences related to the process of organizing illegal drug use by the subjects.
At the police station, the subjects admitted to their crimes. Accordingly, on the evening of March 31, 2025, after organizing his birthday party, Hua Manh Tung discussed with the above subjects to go to Nguyen Van Tra's house in an apartment building in Hung Binh ward, Vinh city to organize illegal drug use and the subjects agreed. At dawn on April 1, 2025, while illegally using drugs in the apartment building, the subjects were arrested by the police.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police is consolidating the records and handling the subjects according to regulations.
