Police raided a huge cockfighting ring, hundreds of gamblers fled.

On the morning of April 24, the police force destroyed a large-scale cockfighting ring and arrested 11 subjects.

At around 9:45 a.m. on April 24, Long Ho District Police (Vinh Long) in coordination with Phuoc Hau Commune Police destroyed a large-scale cockfighting arena on an empty land in Phuoc Loi C Hamlet, Phuoc Hau Commune, Long Ho District.

Cockfighting participants were arrested

A district police officer said: "This cockfighting arena has existed since before Tet. We have received reports from many people, but because the cockfighting arena is located deep in the garden and is carefully guarded, it is very difficult to access."

When the police force raided, hundreds of subjects fled in all directions, the authorities arrested 11 subjects. At the scene, the police force also seized 15 motorbikes of various types, 5 chickens, a pair of metal spurs, a 5-kg scale, 8 mobile phones, hundreds of rolls of tape, mattress baskets, slippers and over 6 million VND in cash.

It is known that this cockfighting arena also provides food and drinks on site. People can participate in gambling from morning to afternoon.
