Police summon young woman who posted false news 'Covid-19 arrives in Hong Linh' Facebook
The information Hoang Thi Lien posted on the website made people confused and worried.
On the afternoon of March 9, information from the Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Ha Tinh said that this unit had just coordinated with Department PA03 - Provincial Police and Hong Linh Town Police to summon Hoang Thi Lien (born in 1996, residing in Thuan Loc commune, Hong Linh town, Ha Tinh province) for providing false information about Covid-19.

According to the investigation agency's documents, at around 8:43 p.m. on March 8, Hoang Lien's personal Facebook posted the status "Covid - 19 has arrived in Hong Linh, everyone. Currently, more than ten people are being quarantined at Hong Linh Driving School. Everyone, please limit your travel" and tagged the names of 2 friends in the above status.
After posting the status for about 2 minutes, realizing that the information she posted was not true, Hoang Lien quickly removed it and posted an apology to the online community with the content: "I sincerely apologize to the community for posting incorrect information about Covid-19 in Hong Linh. Please sympathize with the online community. Due to lack of knowledge, I have caused confusion for everyone. I sincerely apologize and thank you very much."
At the meeting, Hoang Lien declared that posting information on Facebook was not for the purpose of gaining likes, but due to lack of information and lack of understanding, he posted false information, causing confusion among the people.
