Police investigate case of Nghe An female student beaten by a group of friends
(Baonghean.vn) - While the leaders of Nghe An education sector requested strict handling, the police also started investigating the case.
On the afternoon of April 1, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province said that immediately after the clip of a 7th grade female student being beaten appeared on social media, the Department's leaders issued a document directing the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district to verify the incident.
“After the Dien Chau District Department of Education and Training confirmed this incident, we continued to issue a document directing the department to coordinate with the police to quickly investigate. Our point of view is that it is necessary to deal decisively and strictly discipline these students to serve as a deterrent,” said Mr. Thanh, adding that Nghe An Provincial Police also directed Dien Chau District Police to take action.
Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Thanh – Head of Dien Chau District Police confirmed this information. “Currently, the unit is still investigating so we cannot provide any further information,” said Lieutenant Colonel Thanh.

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district, on Sunday, March 31, a group of 5 students from class 8B of Dien Kim Secondary School went to Dien Hung commune to play with their friend, Tran Thi Huyen Tr. - a student from class 8A of Dien Hung Secondary School.
Before that, Tr. and Ho Thi Phuong Th. (a 7B student at Dien Hung Secondary School) had a conflict with each other. When her friends came over, the female student called Th. to the casuarina beach by the sea so her friends could beat her.
Regarding the above incident, the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district reported to the district People's Committee and directed the principals of Dien Hung Secondary School and Dien Kim Secondary School to organize meetings with the beaten students to assess their health and psychological conditions, and to visit and encourage them. At the same time, the students named above were required to write a report, self-criticize, and notify their parents about the violation.
The Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district has also directed schools to hold meetings to announce the incident, review moral education and psychological counseling for students, and have solutions to improve the quality of moral education for students and prevent school violence: organize a meeting of the disciplinary council for students who violate the law before April 3.
According to reports from Dien Hung Secondary School and Dien Kim Secondary School, on the morning of April 1, all 7 students from the two schools went to school as usual, and the health and mental state of Ho Thi Phuong Th. were stable. The police of the two communes are also coordinating to handle the situation.
Earlier, on the morning of April 1, a clip of a group of female students beating up a friend appeared on social media. In the clip, the group of female students continuously cursed, forced the friend to kneel down and apologize, and then repeatedly slapped her in the face, despite the girl being beaten crying and apologizing. “Each of them slapped her once,” said a female student who participated in the beating.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province said that tomorrow (April 2), the disciplinary council of the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district will make a disciplinary decision against these female students.
