The Science and Technology Competition aims to encourage high school students to research science and technology and apply knowledge of subjects to solve real-life problems.

This is a very meaningful activity in the current period, when the whole industry is promoting innovation in teaching methods and forms; innovating forms and methods of assessing learning outcomes to contribute to developing learners' capacity and qualities. The contest has become a useful playground to encourage the spirit of enthusiasm for learning, scientific research,Creativity of high school students across the province, opening up new educational directions.

Participating in this year's contest, the whole province has 174projectAccording to the organizers' assessment, most of the projects this year demonstrated many new scientific ideas; the authors had research skills, proposing quite complete solutions; many projects were practical, highly feasible, demonstrating a passion for scientific research, applying learned knowledge into practice and creating a useful playground for middle and high school students in the whole province.

In addition, many topics approach large, general issues or use advanced techniques in university and hospital laboratories; specialized agencies... This helps train students' scientific research capacity and shows the connection between high schools and universities and specialized agencies.

In particular, there are ideas that come from what students see in their daily lives or the hardships of their parents, teachers and friends. Many of these projects come from issues that have recently received social attention, such as limiting and combating environmental pollution; preventing natural disasters; preventing the Covid-19 epidemic; protecting public health; preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics of ethnic minorities.

In addition to the successes, the projects also revealed limitations. That is, some authors have quite big ideas but do not have enough time, knowledge and necessary conditions to implement their ideas.

At the same time, there is a lack of evidence for the scientific and objective nature of the topic such as the diary, the scientific nature of the research plan; the time of the survey is not specific; the report layout is not really in accordance with regulations; the determination of the competition field is not appropriate; using existing results for improvement but the ideas for improvement or innovation are not really as expected, lacking in persuasion.

At the end of the competition, the jury selected 108 projects that won provincial prizes, including 10 first prizes; 25 second prizes; 38 third prizes; 34 fourth prizes. At the same time, the organizing committee decided to award prizes to 8 participating units with excellent results, in which the first prize belonged to the Department of Education and Training of Vinh city, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
