British officials were angered when the US government leaked images of the bombing scene to the press. British officials argued that this would affect the pursuit of the suspects involved. Information sharing about the Manchester bombing was subsequently suspended.
Abedi, 22, is of Libyan descent but was born in Britain. Police have arrested 11 people in Britain in connection with the Manchester bombing that killed 22 people. Meanwhile, Libyan police have also arrested Abedi's father and brother.
