On June 21, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued Decision No. 3838-QD/TU on merging Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio - Television Station into Nghe An Newspaper and Radio - Television Station. Nghe An Newspaper and Radio - Television Station will start operating from July 1, 2025.

Nghe An Newspaper and Radio - Television Station is a public service unit directly under the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; is the mouthpiece of the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province; an information bridge between the Party, government and people.

Nghe An Newspaper and Radio - Television Station perform the functions of information, propaganda, press and communication activities according to the Party's regulations and the State's laws with the forms of printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television and other media platforms according to the Party's regulations and the State's laws.

According to Project No. 48-DA/TU, dated April 23, 2025 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on merging Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio - Television Station, the organizational structure of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio - Television Station after merging includes the Editorial Board and 12 affiliated specialized departments, a reduction of 4 departments, reaching a rate of nearly 25%.

After the merger, the total number of employees of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio - Television Station is 257 people (including 169 civil servants, 88 contract workers) who will be arranged and assigned appropriately after the merger decision and regulations on functions and tasks are issued.

First, merge all existing contracts of the two agencies, then based on task requirements, job positions and the ability to balance and pay expenses, determine the appropriate number of contract workers.
