Great national unity is a consistent and continuous ideology of our Party and throughout the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh. Following Uncle Ho's instructions, since its establishment, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always paid attention to leading and promoting the strength of great national unity, contributing to great achievements and bright milestones in the cause of fighting for independence, as well as the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam today.

Every cadre and party member must be a flag bearer in the innovation process.

66 years ago, under the leadership of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, the people of the whole country from the highlands to the lowlands, from the mainland to the islands, simultaneously raised the red flag with the yellow star and rose up to seize power from the Japanese fascists, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The great August Revolution led by our Party not only brought happiness to the tillers and their fields, erasing the situation of being oppressed by two oppressors, but also successfully fulfilled the eternal aspiration of our people: the country was independent, the people were free, opening a new stage of our country's revolution.
