Railway worker hit by train hospitalized

(Baonghean.vn) - While maintaining a railway bridge, a railway worker was hit by a North-South Reunification train, breaking his arm and leg and was hospitalized in critical condition.

The accident occurred at 3:40 p.m. on February 3 on the Thong Nhat railway in Dien An commune, Dien Chau district.

Accordingly, at the above time, Mr. Doan Van Duc (born in 1972), a worker at Dien Chau bridge of Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company, was maintaining the bridge at Km 292 +350 when he was hit by Thong Nhat train number SE23 and thrown off the bridge, causing the victim to break his leg and arm.

Immediately after the accident, the train driver made an emergency stop and, together with staff, took the victim to the emergency room.
