Cong Phuong still does not have a visa to go to France and his trial destination is still a secret.
HAGL Club CEO Nguyen Tan Anh said that Cong Phuong is still waiting for a visa to go to France. It is expected that the midfielder from Nghe An will be able to go on trial at the end of this month or early July.
“Everything depends on when Cong Phuong gets his visa. Once he has his visa and plane ticket in hand, we will inform him of his trial location,” said Mr. Tan Anh.
According to the CEO of the Mountain City football team, the reason he cannot reveal the location of Cong Phuong's trial is because it is a regulation between the parties. On the other hand, Cong Phuong receives great attention from fans so everything must be certain before it can be announced.

Cong Phuong went to France for a trial at the recommendation of JMG Global – HAGL’s strategic partner in building the HAGL JMG Academy over the past 12 years. If the trial is successful, Cong Phuong will play for a French second division team next season.
Also because of accepting the offer to go to France for a trial, the striker from Do Luong refused to play for businessman Nguyen Hoai Nam's FK Sarajevo. The reigning Bosnia & Herzegovina champions will play in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round in early July against Scottish representative Celtic.
Cong Phuong is currently still at HAGL training with his teammates. Before that, he had a short time back in his hometown Nghe An to visit his family and relatives.
This will be the third time Cong Phuong has gone abroad. In 2016, he played for Mito Hollyhock in the Japanese Second Division but was unsuccessful. At the beginning of this season, he played for Incheon United in the Korean Championship (K-League) but only played for 4 months and soon terminated his contract.
