Cong Phuong scored his first goal in Belgium
Cong Phuong scored his first goal in Belgium, when he scored for U21 Sint-Truiden.
In the recent match against U21 Club Brugge, Cong Phuong was selected to start for U21 Sint-Truiden. The Vietnamese striker had a hard-fought match before being substituted at the end of the second half.
He even scored a goal in this match, a close-range tap-in after a precise cross from his teammate from the right wing. However, this goal could not save Sint-Truiden from losing 1-2 to Club Brugge.
Since moving to Sint-Truiden, Cong Phuong has not had many opportunities to play. In the main squad, he is mainly used in training matches or friendly matches. In the Belgian national championship, he only played for the last 20 minutes in the 0-6 loss to Club-Brugge.

This weekend, Sint-Truiden will play against Eupen (August 31). After the match, Cong Phuong will join the Vietnamese team to prepare for the match against Thailand on September 5.
