Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company: Prioritizing the recruitment of Nghe An workers

(Baonghean) -With a cluster of key projects invested over 13,000 billion VND in Nghe An, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company (belonging to The Vissai Cement Group) will employ 2,000 direct production workers. And in the recruitment opportunities, the company always gives priority to workers from Nghe An.

At the end of February 2017, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company completed the interview and selection of 200 additional workers to prepare for the operation of Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station in Nghi Loc district; of which, over 95% are from Nghe An.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Loc - Head of the Administrative Organization Department, up to now, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company has recruited nearly 1,000 workers to work at Song Lam Cement Factory (located in Do Luong district) and some workshops of Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station (Nghi Loc), of which over 940 people are from all regions of Nghe An province, mainly in the districts: Do Luong, Nghi Loc, Yen Thanh, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Anh Son...

The remaining few workers are experienced workers mobilized to support from units of The Vissai Cement Group across the country.

Through each recruitment of workers according to the required profession, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company organizes 4-6 months of professional training so that each person can master the process and operate modern machinery. The training process is sent to factories with similar production lines at the Cement Factory in Anh Son district and at cement factories in Ninh Binh, Lang Son, Ha Nam provinces...

“Prioritizing the recruitment of Nghe An workers to work at the company is one of the actions to keep the commitment of The Vissai Cement Group when deciding to invest in the province. But more importantly, in the long term, Nghe An people will help the company master modern production lines, linked to the sustainable development of the locality. Therefore, we always prioritize opportunities for Nghe An workers who have been trained in required professions, especially in localities where the company operates such as Do Luong and Nghi Loc districts.

Through the selection process, we found that Nghe An workers quickly grasped techniques and technology, quickly approached the production line, and were diligent in their work as well as highly disciplined. Currently, at the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station construction site, units are accelerating the completion of the first assembly line. At the same time, hundreds of newly recruited workers who have completed the training course of Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company have entered the technical approach.

At the bustling construction site, electronics engineer Nguyen Van Son, from Quynh Thach commune (Quynh Luu) said: “I was very happy to be hired at the Cement Grinding Station right after graduating. During the first few months of training, the Cement Joint Stock Company still paid me my full basic salary.Up to now, I have been working officially for 3 months, with a salary of nearly 10 million VND/month, which is a good income for new employees like us. That also encourages young people like us to work hard and contribute to the development of the company...".

As for engineer Cao Xuan Vinh - Deputy Director of Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station, who is from Dien Hoa commune (Dien Chau), he has been working with The Vissai Cement Group for nearly 9 years. He has been to many factories of the group in Ninh Binh and Ha Nam, and now being transferred back to his hometown is a great joy. Because after tiring working days, he has more time to visit his wife and children in Dien Chau on weekends and feels like he is contributing to the development of his hometown.

According to the plan, the first line of Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station will officially come into operation on April 30, 2017. Besides mobilizing maximum human resources for this plan, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company is actively urging contractors to construct 2 more cement grinding lines. At the same time, speeding up the completion of items of Nghi Thiet deep-water wharf to serve the transportation of cement to domestic regions and for export. Therefore, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company is continuing to plan to recruit workers for the positions of line operators, which means there will be more opportunities for Nghe An workers to find jobs in their hometown.
