Ban Ve Hydropower Company organized the handover ceremony of Great Unity houses, planted trees and released fish fry at the beginning of the year.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 15, Ban Ve Hydropower Company coordinated with local authorities to organize a ceremony to hand over the Great Unity house, plant trees and release fish fry at the beginning of the year at Ban Ve Hydropower Reservoir.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of Tuong Duong district leaders were: Lu Van May - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Nguyen Huu Hien - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee. On behalf of Power Generation Corporation 1 were: Pham Viet Hung - Member of the Board of Members; Pham Anh Van - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Power Generation Corporation 1. On behalf of Ban Ve Hydropower Company was Mr. Ta Huu Hung - Director of the Company. Also attending were representatives of leaders of Yen Na and Luong Minh communes and a large number of local people.

This time,Ban Ve Hydropower Companycoordinated with local authorities to organize the handover of 20 Great Unity houses to the people of Tuong Duong district, with a total value of 1 billion VND. This is an annual activity, to show gratitude to the people in the area where Ban Ve Hydropower Plant is located, who have sacrificed a lot for the development of the plant.


On the same day, Ban Ve Hydropower Company released 1.3 tons of fish fry with high economic benefits, suitable for the local environment, such as catfish, grass carp, bighead carp, common carp, bighead carp, tilapia... with a value of nearly 150 million VND into Ban Ve Hydropower Reservoir.


This activity is carried out to restore and regenerate aquatic resources that are increasingly being depleted; contribute to cleaning water sources, cleaning the environment, and balancing the ecosystem. At the same time, providing a part of the food source with high nutritional value, clean, safe and improving the livelihoods of the community in the area.
Ban Ve Hydropower Reservoir has more than 5,000 hectares of water surface, with a capacity of 1.83 billion m3 of water, which is an extremely favorable condition for people in the area to promote aquaculture, bringing a stable source of income and improving people's lives.

In addition, in response to the "Tet Tree Planting" movement, strengthening forest protection and development according to Directive 45 dated December 31, 2020, and implementing the Prime Minister's "Program to plant 1 billion trees for a green Vietnam", Ban Ve Hydropower Company has also planted and cared for more than 100 trees, suitable for the local climate, worth more than 60 million VND. These trees are planted in the factory premises and on the way up to the dam body.

Hydropower Plant Construction ProjectBan Ve Power Plant was approved by the Prime Minister for investment project in Decision No. 665/QD-TTg dated June 19, 2003 with installed capacity of 320 MW, built on Nam Non river, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district in 2004.
In 2010, Unit 1 of the plant officially started generating electricity, Ban Ve Hydropower Plant officially connected to the national grid. In April 2011, the Board of Members of Vietnam Electricity Group decided to establish Ban Ve Hydropower Company.
Over the past 14 years, the company has successfully completed major goals such as: Ensuring water supply and reducing floods for downstream areas; Safely operating the plant to maximize the amount of electricity generated to the system; Safely operating the reservoir according to the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Ca River basin during the annual flood season...
Up to now, the electricity output has reached nearly 14 billion kWh. With the achievements, Ban Ve Hydropower Company has been honored to receive noble awards from the State and the Government: Third-class Labor Medal, Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Certificate of Merit from the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Certificate of Merit from Vietnam Electricity Group and many other noble awards, contributing thousands of billions of VND to the State Budget.
