The old man has 346 descendants.

Mr. Pavel Semenyuk received the certificate of the family with the most children in Ukraine.

Pavel Semenyuk, 87, always dreamed of having a large family and was extremely happy when his wife gave birth to a total of 13 children.

After the family members got married and had children, Mr. Semenyuk now has a total of 346 descendants, including 13 children, 127 grandchildren, 203 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The youngest member is only 2 weeks old. This large family currently lives in the village of Dobroslav, in the Odessa Oblast region, southern Ukraine, according toMSN.

Mr. Semenyuk, a retired construction worker, shared that his family was always happy. However, the only difficulty for Semenyuk was how to remember all the names of his children and grandchildren.

"I only remember the names of the older ones, but I don't remember the younger ones," the old man revealed.

Whenever a family member gets married, the rest of the family members usually pitch in to build the newlyweds a house. This is not an obstacle at all, as most of Semenyuk’s sons, grandsons and great-grandsons work in the construction industry.

Mr. Semenyuk's extended family

For Mr. Semenyuk's extended family, every time someone has a birthday or gets married, it is an important event for the whole family.

"We often cook big pots of food on birthdays or weddings. The women always help each other," said Vira Semenyuk, 66, one of Pavel Semenyuk's daughters.

A few days ago, the Semenyul family was recognized as the largest family in Ukraine. They plan to submit information to the Guinness Organization to be recognized as a world record.

"This family is definitely unique. The world record for the largest family is currently held by an Indian family, consisting of 192 members. The Semenyuks have every chance of breaking that record," said Lana Vetrova, head of the Ukrainian National Records Organization.
