On the morning of October 6, National Assembly deputies including Mr. Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; Mr. Moong Van Tinh - official of Que Phong District Youth Union met with voters in Tam Hop commune, Quy Hop district. Photo: My Nga.

After listening to the National Assembly delegates report on the content of the 4th session of the 14th National Assembly scheduled to take place from October 23 to November 23, 2017, voters in the communes made many recommendations.

Voter Ho Vinh Thuy, Bac Son hamlet, expressed his agreement with the working program of the 4th session of the 14th National Assembly, and his expectation for new decisions of the National Assembly. At the same time, voters also made recommendations on the issue of creating more staffing sources for primary school teachers.

Giving specific examples, voters said that currently, the commune is seriously lacking teachers and has signed contracts with 9 teachers. "Most parents do not want their children to study in classes taught by contract teachers" - voters confided that the reason does not come from the quality of teachers, but rather that these teachers do not have the ability to stick with the school and the class.

This voter also recommended that there should be attention and a thorough policy for village chiefs to enjoy health insurance.

Voter Nguyen Thu Huong expressed the people's concern when through newspapers and radio, they learned about cases of officials embezzling and corrupting money, causing loss of State and people's money, which made the public very worried. Voters suggested that in the near future, the National Assembly will meet to discuss and propose specific measures to thoroughly engage in this fight against corruption, and at the same time, this fight needs to go deep into the district and commune levels.

In particular, voters want the National Assembly to publicize and clarify the results of the inspection process, in order to enhance transparency and the people's right to supervision and ownership.

Voter Nguyen Tat Hai, Hop Thanh hamlet, expressed his excitement when the National Assembly issued many complete laws, directly related to the economic and social life of the people. However, according to this voter, those documents have not brought high efficiency when implemented in practice.

“Once a document is issued, its success will depend on the results of its implementation, not on the words,” said a voter. Therefore, voters hope that in the coming time, in addition to issuing policies and laws, the National Assembly will have practical methods of action to ensure the rights and obligations of the people.

In addition, voters also proposed a number of issues directly related to the economic and social life of the people, such as voter Tran Xuan Luc, Chairman of Dong Hop commune, proposed that the National Assembly should have a policy to invest in consolidating schools, prioritizing support for places with serious shortages.

According to the commune chairman, Dong Hop is currently short of 5 classrooms for the 2017-2018 school year. Although social resources have been mobilized from the people, they can only meet 1/3 of the payment costs, while the district's budget is limited.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Hop commune also expressed concern about the difficulties in personnel work. According to voters, streamlining the payroll is not a simple matter, because it is related to the rights and people. Especially in associations and social organizations.

Accordingly, to successfully streamline and make the activities of these associations more effective and easier, voters suggest that there should be a policy to merge the Youth Volunteers Association and the Agent Orange Association into activities with the Veterans Association.

In addition, at the meeting, voters also contributed opinions related to a number of issues such as: supporting capital sources to reach the New Rural finish line, reviewing the boundary between forestry land and land owned by the government to soon allocate it to people for production; adding more titles for some commune experts such as construction land, agriculture, justice; allowance regime for village, hamlet, association officials...
