Having just arrived at Sint Truidense not long ago, Cong Phuong has become quite close to Japanese goalkeeper Daniel Schmidt. The two have some things in common, such as both playing in J. League 2 in the 2016 season and almost meeting each other at the 2019 Asian Cup.

On a free day, Daniel Schmidt took Cong Phuong to have coffee at "TwentyTwo". This is the coffee shop owned by goalkeeper Mignolet (who plays for Liverpool), the name of the shop is based on his shirt number.

Mignolet is from Sint Truidense, graduated from the youth academy and played 100 times for Sint Truidense before moving to Sunderland in 2010. During his time at his hometown club, Mignolet even scored 1 goal. Last season, this goalkeeper won the Champions League with Liverpool.

Quite coincidentally, Cong Phuong and Daniel Schmidt met Mignolet when they went to the cafe. Daniel Schmidt happily shared a photo with his idol, and Cong Phuong was also very excited.
