The "Folk song singing in schools" contest in Nghe An has 21 participating groups.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 29, the Organizing Committee of the 4th "Folk Song Singing in Schools" Contest in Nghe An province in 2018 met to discuss preparations and propose plans for the contest.
The Folk Song Singing Contest in Schools is organized with the aim of maintaining the movement of learning and singing folk songs in schools, discovering and nurturing folk song talents for the homeland and country, contributing to promoting the movement of "Building friendly schools and active students".
The contest also aims to preserve, conserve, introduce, promote and develop the cultural values, typical of the singing and performing arts of Nghe An's Vi and Giam folk songs - intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.

In order for the contest to be implemented effectively, at the meeting, members of the Organizing Committee listened to and gave their opinions on the organization. In addition, the units also proposed conditions to ensure human resources, facilities, finance, prize structure and propaganda work to introduce the contest.
It is expected that this year's contest will be held in mid-April at Nghe An Folk Song Theater; each district and city will establish a participating team with solo singing, duet singing, skits, skits, and performances with 70% of the performances being Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs, and 30% being folk songs adapted with new lyrics.

The Organizing Committee will award Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman and cash prizes to the teams winning First, Second and Third prizes; and Certificates of the Organizing Committee and cash prizes to the teams winning Consolation Prizes and the performances winning A, B, C and Consolation Prizes.
