Tan Ky district veterans condemn priest Dang Huu Nam

(Baonghean.vn)- Tan Ky veteran affirmed that the words and actions of priest Dang Huu Nam were reactionary, trampling on the achievements of the revolution and insulting the people.

The Tan Ky District Veterans Association recently held a conference to protest against priest Dang Huu Nam, parish priest of Phu Yen, An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district.

At the conference, representing 8,750 cadres and members of the Veterans Association of Tan Ky district, delegates affirmed: Dang Huu Nam's words and actions are completely fabricated, untrue, showing a reactionary, opposing, trampling, and denying nature of the revolution of the Party, of our nation and people.

The veterans expressed their indignation at the serious violations of the Vietnamese Constitution and laws, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child by priest Dang Huu Nam, and the serious insults to the honor and dignity of millions of Vietnamese people who heroically fought and sacrificed to protect the independence and freedom of the Fatherland by this extremist priest.

The delegates also recommended that relevant authorities at all levels strictly handle Dang Huu Nam in accordance with the law.

At the end of the conference, the Association of War Veterans of Tan Ky district passed a Resolution on protesting against Mr. Dang Huu Nam, parish priest of Phu Yen, An Hoa commune, including 3 points:

1. Request the Archbishop of Vinh Diocese and the Administrator of Thuan Nghia to take measures to prevent and request priest Dang Huu Nam to immediately stop all wrongdoings and actions; Request Mr. Dang Huu Nam to strictly comply with the law and not to make any statements that incite parishioners to do things that violate the law.

2. Immediately stop all actions aimed at dividing the great national unity bloc, properly perform your duties, encourage people to unite and feel secure in developing the economy, improving their lives, apologize to the people and war veterans nationwide in general, the people of An Hoa commune, war veterans in Quynh Luu district in particular for statements distorting history and denying the revolutionary achievements that generations of Vietnamese people have shed their efforts, blood and tears to achieve victory on April 30.

3. Request the authorities and functional agencies at all levels to take resolute measures to promptly prevent all reactionary actions and words that cause disunity and divide the great national unity bloc of priest Dang Huu Nam and take strict measures to handle him before the law.
