The trial was held behind closed doors in courtroom No. 1 of Hoai Duc District People's Court with the participation of those summoned by the court. Many relatives of the defendant and the victim stood outside.
According to the indictment, to satisfy his lust, from November 2017 to April 2018, Mr. Le repeatedly hugged, kissed, and molested 7 students. The male teacher's actions took place at his home and in the 3rd grade classroom.
After each molestation, Mr. Le often gave the students bracelets, books or old watches.“This behavior violates children's right to protection and negatively affects public morality, posing a danger to society,” the indictment said.

After half a day of trial, the court sentenced defendant Le to 6 years in prison, banned from teaching for 5 years after completing the sentence and compensated each victim's family 20 million VND.
When leaving the court, many families of the victims loudly expressed their disagreement with the fines imposed by the panel of judges.
When the incident occurred, the Hoai Duc Department of Education requested the school and family not to disclose the identity, image and psychological impact of the child, causing panic and negatively affecting the development process.
