Saving the life of a young man who committed suicide by eating poison ivy in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The Tri Le Border Guard Station's medical staff (Nghe An Border Guard) has just coordinated with the Tri Le Commune Medical Station to organize emergency treatment and save the life of a victim who committed suicide by eating poison ivy using a folk remedy.
At 5:00 p.m. on January 3, Tri Le Border Post received a report that in D2 village, Minh Chau village cluster, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, a young man named Tho Ba S, born in 1992, committed suicide due to family conflicts by eating poison leaves and was taken to the commune health station by relatives.

After receiving the news, the Party Committee and Command of Tri Le Border Post (Que Phong, Nghe An) coordinated with staff of Tri Le Commune Health Station to treat the victim with folk remedies.
Medicine used to treat victims of eating poison ivy:
Crush the banana stem, combine with pennywort (washed with banana stem water), crush and squeeze to get the juice, mix with banana stem water, then drop 2-3 live frogs into the banana juice - pennywort mixture for about 1 minute, then remove the frogs, give the patient to drink to stimulate vomiting, remove toxins in the stomach.

Along with removing toxins in the stomach by natural methods, combined with injections of antibiotics, heart and strength drugs.
After 2 hours of intensive emergency care and resuscitation, the patient's cyanosis was gone, he had less difficulty breathing, could talk and walk. Currently, the patient's health is recovering and progressing well.
