Covid-19 test results of railway staff in Nghe An who had close contact with patient number 76 are available

Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control informed: The Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology has received a Covid-19 test result for the Vinh railway branch employee who had close contact with patient number 76. Accordingly, the sample of this railway employee was negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

After coming into contact with patient number 76, this railway employee returned to Vinh and came into contact with a number of people in the unit, as well as a number of people outside the unit.
On March 19, 2020, Vinh Railway Transport Branch received a notice from Ninh Binh Department of Health about patient number 76, so it decided to quarantine all 2 groups of employees working on the train at their private homes. The railway employee who had direct contact with patient number 76 was quarantined at the Vinh Railway Attendant Station accommodation. On March 19, the female railway employee appeared tired and had a slightly itchy throat.
The Vinh Railway Transport Branch reported the case of its employee to the Nghe An Center for Disease Control. On March 22, the female railway employee was quarantined and monitored at the Tropical Disease Center, Provincial General Hospital, and her sample was taken for testing. With a negative result for SARS-CoV-2 virus, this railway employee will continue to be quarantined and monitored at the Tropical Disease Center, Provincial General Hospital for 14 days. If any unusual symptoms appear, her sample will continue to be taken for testing.
