Body of missing British tourist found in Fansipan
According to a VNA reporter in Lao Cai, at around 1 p.m. on June 9, after five days of searching, authorities discovered the body of tourist Aiden Shaw Webb (23 years old, British nationality), who had gone missing on the way to conquer Fansipan since June 2.

The location where the body of the unfortunate tourist was found was at an altitude of 2,800 meters, about more than 1km from the T4 cable tower.
Rescuers believe the tourist may have died about three days earlier.
Currently, the rescue team is working with Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car Service Company Limited to remove the body of the tourist from the forest. Due to the difficult terrain, it will take many more hours for the authorities to remove the body from Hoang Lien National Park.
On the morning of June 9, about 50 people participated in the rescue, including the army, Sa Pa District Police, rescue forces from Hoang Lien National Park and Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car Tourism Service Limited Company.
Aiden Shaw Webb and his girlfriend Blue Bell Eloise Baugham came to Sa Pa and rented a room at Quyet Tinh Hotel (Sa Pa town) on June 2.
Early on the morning of June 3, Aiden Shaw Webb went hiking while his girlfriend stayed behind. The two remained in contact via Facebook.
This tourist started from Sin Chai village, climbing along the cable line of the Fansipan cable car with some food, a flashlight and a phone charger.
According to the victim's girlfriend, the last text message she received from Aiden Shaw Webb was at around 6am on June 4th, and Aiden Shaw Webb reported injuries to his arms and legs. The last location of Aiden Shaw Webb, according to the location from Blue Bell Eloise Baugham's phone, was determined to be in sub-area 267, 274, Sin Chai village, San Sa Ho commune, Hoang Lien National Park.
