Body of 8th grade female student in Nghe An suspected of jumping off bridge at night found
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 12 hours of searching, authorities discovered the body of an 8th grade female student more than 15 km downstream from where the electric bike was found.
At around 9:15 a.m. on May 2, rescuers and searchers discovered the body of female student Bui Thi Hoai Th. on the Lam River flowing through Nam Thuong Commune (now Thuong Tan Loc), Nam Dan District (more than 15 km from the scene of Ro Bridge, Ngoc Son Commune, Thanh Chuong District).

(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of May 1, an electric bicycle and a pair of sandals were found abandoned on Ro Bridge (Thanh Chuong), suspected of having jumped off the bridge. This morning, the search is still underway on Lam River.

As reported, at around 8:00 p.m. on May 1, passersby discovered an electric bicycle and a pair of sandals left on the Ro bridge over the Lam River connecting Ngoc Son and Vo Liet communes (Thanh Chuong). The bicycle was identified as belonging to Bui Thi Hoai Th. (born in 2006), residing in Xuan Tuong commune, Thanh Chuong district.
On the night of May 1, after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police directed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team No. 7 and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team on the river, including 16 officers and soldiers, to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinate with Thanh Chuong District Police and local authorities to deploy teams to search for the victims.

According to Th.’s family, on the afternoon of May 1, a large gathering took place at their home. Around 8:00 p.m., when everyone had gone home, Th. told his family that he was going to borrow books and never returned.
It is known that Th. is the eldest daughter in a family of 3 sisters. Th.'s father is working abroad, his mother stays at home farming and selling brooms. Th. is in 8th grade at Xuan Tuong Secondary School.
