National Assembly deputies give Tet gifts to poor households and disadvantaged families in Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen districts and Cua Lo town.
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 31, the working delegation of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation coordinated with the leaders of Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen districts and Cua Lo town to present Tet gifts for the poor in 2024 and provide funding to support housing construction for people with housing difficulties.
The program was attended by comrades: Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, National Assembly delegate of the 15th term of Nghe An province; Hoang Lan - Deputy Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Manh Cuong - Deputy Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council; representatives of local leaders.

In Nghi Tan and Nghi Thuy wards (Cua Lo town); Dien An and Dien Trung communes (Dien Chau district), the working delegation presented 40 Tet gifts, each worth VND700,000 (including VND500,000 in cash and VND200,000 in kind).
In Hung Nguyen district, the delegation presented 19 Tet gifts, each worth VND 1,200,000 (including VND 1,000,000 in cash and VND 200,000 in kind) to the poor and people in especially difficult circumstances in Hung Dao commune; directly visited, encouraged and gave gifts to two orphaned children Duong Thi Mai Phuong and Duong Manh Dung in hamlet 5, Hung Linh commune.

Along with the Tet gift giving program, the working delegation also provided funding to support housing construction for 4 poor households with especially difficult housing circumstances, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Nghi Thuy ward, Ms. Tran Thi Khuyen, block 3, Thu Thuy ward (Cua Lo town); Ms. Pham Thi Hong, Phuc Tho hamlet, Dien My commune and Mr. Nguyen Van Giao, hamlet 12, Dien Doai commune (Dien Chau district).

Previously, on January 23, in Nghi Loc district, the working delegation also gave Tet gifts to the poor in Nghi Xa commune and provided funding to support housing construction for two poor households: Cao Manh Hung, born in 1974, hamlet 2, Nghi Trung commune and Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Nghi Van commune.
