National Assembly deputies meet voters in Vinh city before the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 11, the XV National Assembly delegates of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province met with voters of the wards: Hong Son, Vinh Tan, Trung Do (Vinh City), before the 6th Session.

Attending the meeting with voters were delegates: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training; Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee.
Also attending the conference were comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee, leaders of a number of provincial and Vinh city departments and branches.

IMPRESSED ABOUT THE PROJECT'S HOLDING, SLOW PROGRESS
Voters requested the Party and State to continue directing and organizing the implementation of stronger and more effective solutions to prevent and combat corruption and waste, and practice thrift in the entire political system and society; direct law enforcement agencies to resolutely and strictly handle those who commit acts of corruption and waste; and increase the effectiveness of recovering corrupt and wasteful assets.
At the same time, voters also requested the National Assembly to pay attention to strengthening the supervision of law enforcement by functional forces in the fight against smuggling, tax evasion, and related tax refunds; and to study and amend regulations on goods import for stages with loopholes.

In particular, many voters' opinions raised the need to resolutely recover suspended projects and slow-progressing projects that waste land resources and create negative public opinion; at the same time, infrastructure projects in the area should be implemented thoroughly to avoid prolongation.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nhac, Vinh Tan ward (Vinh city) requested to inform about the progress of Le Mao road project because it has not been completed yet.
Mr. Nhac also raised concerns about managing apartment buildings. Even though residents have been living there for a long time, the project has not been handed over and a management board has not been established, so there are many problems with apartment operations.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Phan Trong Nguyen, Trung Do ward (Vinh city) requested to be informed about the handling of the Thong bridge market project which has not been implemented for nearly 20 years, affecting people's lives and not ensuring environmental hygiene.

In addition, voters in the area are also interested in other issues such as whether the Vinh Temple of Literature project will still be implemented or not, because currently due to planning, it affects the lives of people in the area.
Voters also paid much attention to the field of education, especially the issue of school violence, thereby proposing solutions to ensure safety for students; at the same time, it is necessary to completely resolve the situation of constantly changing textbooks, causing waste, waste of people's money, and difficulties for teachers and students.
Voter Pham Thi Thu, Trung Do ward (Vinh city) raised concerns about the salaries of teachers, as well as suggested that a mechanism is needed to ensure cooking positions for students in preschools.

Voters also suggested that it is necessary to soon issue a salary policy, as the current salary of ward and commune officials and civil servants is still too low; consider raising the salary allowance regime for part-time workers at ward and commune levels; blocks and hamlets to ensure the maintenance and good performance of tasks at the grassroots level.
At the same time, voters of 3 wards: Hong Son, Vinh Tan and Trung Do proposed to continue to resolutely direct administrative reform, reduce procedures, reduce processing time, and simplify administrative procedures synchronously from the central to the grassroots level, at all levels, sectors, agencies and units.

On the other hand, voters also suggested that the Government direct the Ministry of Public Security, relevant ministries, branches and local authorities to take resolute and timely measures to combat and suppress all types of crimes, ensure social order and safety, especially crimes of murder, robbery, buying, selling, storing, transporting and using drugs, which are still complicated.
Voters and people are concerned and worried about unsafe incidents: fires, explosions, traffic accidents, food safety; natural disasters, storms, floods, epidemics and unusual incidents that have occurred in the recent past causing many deaths; measures, means and resources to carry out rescue, rescue, accident prevention and risk control have not met practical requirements. The Government is requested to direct ministries, branches and localities to pay attention.
CONTINUE MONITORING THE STATUS OF UNDELIVERED APARTMENTS
At the conference, leaders of relevant departments, branches and the Vinh City People's Committee answered voters' questions within their authority. After informing some highlights of the province's socio-economic situation from the beginning of 2023 to present, on behalf of the National Assembly deputies, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An Province Thai Thanh Quy spoke to receive and respond to voters' recommendations.
In particular, in response to voters' feedback on the situation of apartments not being handed over and high electricity and water prices in apartments, the head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation pledged to continue monitoring this issue.

Regarding the issue of water supply for people, the Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province suggested that Vinh City conduct a comprehensive survey in the area, work with the water supply company to have an investment roadmap in areas where water supply is not guaranteed; at the same time, the city submits the survey results to the Department of Construction to report to the province for comments from the water supply company; the goal is to harmoniously and reasonably resolve the aspirations and legitimate needs of the people when using water.
Regarding the Vinh Temple of Literature project, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An Thai Thanh Quy discussed with voters the concerns and wishes in renovating and restoring the work, which is a symbol of the land of learning in Nghe An. The head of the Provincial Party Committee said that he will focus on research to have a plan to allocate resources as soon as possible for implementation.

Particularly regarding voters' feedback on handling suspended projects and projects with slow progress, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy affirmed that the Provincial Party Standing Committee has a very strong view on this issue and has issued a separate resolution. However, in practice, there are projects that are stuck in legal procedures when being revoked, so voters' opinions on specific projects will be received to continue reviewing and resolving.
