At the opening session of the 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee gave an important speech with the theme: "Promoting the strength of great national unity, contributing to the construction and socio-economic development of Nghe An province in the period 2025 - 2030 and the following years".
Great solidarity - original value, everlasting strength
The speech of the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Nguyen Dinh Hung, affirmed: The 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, is a political event of utmost importance, a symbol of the strength of great solidarity - an achievement that many generations of fathers and grandfathers have worked hard to cultivate.
On the land of Nghe An with a thousand years of history, the strength of great solidarity is not only affirmed by the heroic and glorious tradition of the past but also nurtured and developed through a long history, becoming a solid "support" to continue the achievements of innovation today, an important endogenous resource to rise to become a "national growth pole" in the coming time.
Nghe An is a province with diverse terrain, a large population, many ethnicities and religions, and is also the homeland of millions of expatriates from more than 110 countries. In this context, the spirit of "comradeship and solidarity" becomes an invaluable resource for the Party, Government and People to unite, develop quickly and sustainably.
Unity makes a mark in the term
The presentation emphasized that in the past term, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have innovated the content and methods of operation, effectively performed the role of gathering the people, making an important contribution to the overall achievements of the province.
The strength of solidarity has gathered a large number of social forces: More than 2.3 million union members; 13,000 intellectuals; 65,000 civil servants, public employees and armed forces; 14,000 businessmen; 420,000 elderly people; nearly 490,000 ethnic minorities; more than 525,000 religious people and more than 100,000 overseas Vietnamese. This is the foundation of consensus to build a clean Party, an effective government and a developed homeland.

Patriotic emulation movements and large-scale campaigns spread widely. Through the Vietnam Fatherland Front, social resources to support the poor reached nearly 5,805 billion VND.,with more than 875 thousand poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households supported with livelihood models, means of production, Tet gifts, medical examination and treatment.
In particular, Nghe An is one of the leading localities in the country in the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind" with 20,802 shelters built and repaired; and was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President..
The Front also plays a good role as a political bridge, regularly gathering people's opinions and aspirations, promptly reflecting them to the Party Committee, orienting public opinion, contributing to consolidating trust and enhancing consensus. Social supervision and criticism activities go into depth, focusing on issues close to life such as planning, land, environment, social security, and administrative procedure reform. Many policies and mechanisms are adjusted and supplemented to suit reality, receiving the people's consensus and support.
Core solutions promoting national solidarity in the new period
Entering a new stage of development, facing intertwined opportunities and challenges, Nghe An must further promote the strength of solidarity, which is the "key" to turning internal strength into a driving force for rapid and sustainable development. The 20th Provincial Party Congress determined the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", in which "Solidarity" is the top priority, the "compass" of all actions, affirming that only solidarity can arouse internal strength, create social consensus, and turn the Party's policies into practical actions to serve the people and for the people.
According to comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung, to promote the strength of national solidarity in the period of 2025 - 2030 and the following years, the Provincial Party Committee and all levels and sectors need to focus on 4 key groups of tasks:
The first,Continue to closely and comprehensively lead the political system. The Fatherland Front must promote its role as "conductor" and "chair" to mobilize the combined strength of socio-political organizations in implementing the common key tasks of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations, ensuring that all tasks are carried out synchronously, smoothly and effectively, strictly implementing the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit"; consider people's satisfaction and trust as a measure of leadership effectiveness.
Monday, innovate content and methods of operation, promote digital transformation, build a "Digital Front"; improve the quality of supervision and social criticism with the viewpoint of "thinking honestly, speaking honestly, doing honestly, achieving real results, and benefiting the people" and focusing on 3 strategic breakthroughs: improving the investment environment, developing high-quality human resources, and investing in key infrastructure.
Tuesday,The Front must truly become the center of political solidarity; the strength of the Front is the strength of the people; preserve and foster the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Party, the State and the People; bridge the way to bring the Party's guidelines deeply into life, at the same time, convey the aspirations and will of the People to the Party and the government: "When the people need the Front, it is there; when the people are in difficulty, the Front is ready".
Wednesday, promote patriotic emulation movements associated with socio-economic development; proactively refute bad and toxic information, protect the Party's ideological foundation. Replicate advanced models and examples; mobilize and arouse social resources; launch the movement "Nghe An people contribute to building their homeland", encourage intellectuals, businessmen, and overseas Vietnamese to contribute ideas, invest, and contribute their intelligence and efforts to the development of the province.
