Vinh University won first prize in the national 'Student Singing Contest'
(Baonghean.vn)- Vinh University won the first prize for the entire team and was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training at the 14th National "Student Singing Contest", school year 2015 - 2016.
From May 24 to 28, at Quy Nhon University (Binh Dinh), the Ministry of Education and Training organized the final round of the 14th National Student Singing Contest, 2015-2016 school year. The festival attracted nearly 300 contestants from 14 universities selected from 3 qualifying rounds in regions across the country. Most of the performances were elaborately staged; many were highly creative. In particular, through this competition, a number of good and promising singers were discovered.

The Vinh University team participated in 5 contest performances including the categories of Group singing with accompanying dance; male and female solo singing; and group dancing. With the theme “Dreams of Flying”, the contest program emphasized the love for the country, the homeland’s sea and islands; praised the beloved President Ho Chi Minh; imbued with the breath of folk songs, Vi Giam; expressed the vitality and dreams of the youth, Vinh University students in studying and training, in volunteer movements, building a cultural lifestyle…

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Vinh University and the University of Construction; Second Prize to the University of Mining and Geology and the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City; 04 Third Prizes to: People's Security Academy, Duy Tan University, Hue Academy of Music and Tay Ninh Pedagogical College.
There were 15 best performances awarded Gold medals, 21 Silver medals and 23 Bronze medals. Of which, Vinh University received 03 Gold medals.
