Vinh University summarizes the 2017 summer youth volunteer campaign

At the ceremony, Dr. Thieu Dinh Phong, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh University reported the summary of the 2017 Summer Volunteer Campaign, awarded the "Volunteer Moments 2017" Contest, and commended individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2017 Summer Volunteer Campaign.

After more than 2 months of activities with the programs Supporting the exam season, Volunteering students to extremely difficult communes, International volunteer program in Xieng Khouang province (Laos)... attracting nearly 600 volunteers to participate, significant results have been achieved. Among them are the project of renovating 30 km of roads, cleaning 8,000 m of rivers, streams, irrigation canals, and fields, cleaning 38.7 km of roads, organizing 17 Vietnamese language classes for nearly 600 students from Lao PDR...

With many creative ways, Vinh University students have successfully completed the 2017 volunteer campaign. Leaving many deep impressions in the hearts of the people, especially in the hearts of international friends.

On behalf of the youth of Vinh University, Dr. Thieu Dinh Phong promised to continue to demonstrate the determination of “Wherever there is a need, there will be youth, wherever there is difficulty, there will be youth” and to spread the beautiful image of Vinh University students “Courage – Intelligence – Civilization – Volunteerism” in many areas of the country. The Secretary of the Youth Union said that the youth of Vinh University will paint the green shirts on all roads in the summer of 2018.

Along with the 2017 Summer Volunteer Campaign, the Youth Union - Student Association of the school organized the "Volunteer Moments 2017" Contest, attracting 285 students to participate and 5,800 shares. The Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes and 3 Third Prizes to the entries.
