Nghe An Province Weightlifting, Gymnastics and Bodybuilding Federation was established under Decision No. 3426/QD-UBND dated August 7, 2018 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. Currently, the Federation has a total of 100 members, including 10 organizational members and 90 individual members.

In recent times, the activities of the Nghe An Province Weightlifting, Gymnastics and Bodybuilding Federation have made an important contribution to the development of the physical training and sports movement in the province. The weightlifting, gymnastics and bodybuilding movement has received attention and strong investment from all levels and sectors, and has spread widely among all subjects, ages, localities and sectors, receiving the consensus and support of the majority of people.

In particular, gym, yoga, aerobics, bodybuilding, dancing... are available in most localities. Currently, there are nearly 100 large and small gyms opened, attracting thousands of people to practice to improve their health, especially young people.
Nghe An Weightlifting has achieved impressive results at the continental, world and national levels, with great potential for top sports. This sport has been invested in training at the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, becoming a strong sport of the province, regularly reaping manymedalat domestic and international tournaments.
The Federation has coordinated with facilities and gyms in the province to organize 1 competition/year for bodybuilding; sent clubs to participate in 2-3 national aerobic competitions, 1-2 national dance competitions; supported Nghe An province's team to participate in 3-4 national competitions/year.

The congress also pointed out the limitations and shortcomings in the weightlifting, gymnastics and bodybuilding movement in Nghe An province, such as: The weightlifting movement has not been widely developed, has not created a spread among the people, has only stopped at selecting from the base to train high-performance athletes; the gymnastics and bodybuilding movement has developed strongly but has not had the conditions for advanced training, there are not enough representatives of Nghe An to participate in national competitions; the structure and system of organizing tournaments in the area is not systematic, mainly spontaneous.
Speaking at the Congress, the leaders of the Vietnam Weightlifting, Gymnastics and Bodybuilding Federation and the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports acknowledged the results that the Federation has achieved in the past time. At the same time, they suggested that in the coming term, the Federation should strengthen coordination with mass media agencies to propagate the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies on physical training and sports, especially the effects of weightlifting, gymnastics and bodybuilding activities on health and cultural and social life.

In addition, it is necessary to continue sending coaches and referees to participate in training courses to standardize and improve techniques at the Vietnam Weightlifting, Gymnastics and Bodybuilding Federation and the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation, in order to retrain the team of local coaches and referees, ensuring quality and capacity to run local and regional tournaments.

In addition, the Federation needs to closely coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Education and Training, universities, colleges, vocational schools, and the Department of Culture and Information of districts, cities and towns to develop more clubs, creating favorable conditions for the selection and training of high-performance sports teams of the province.
The Congress elected 13 members to the Executive Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. Mr. Nguyen Song Hao - Director of Newlife Fitness Company was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Weightlifting, Gymnastics and Bodybuilding Federation of Nghe An province for the 2025 - 2030 term.

On this occasion, 5 groups and 1 individual of the Weightlifting, Gymnastics and Bodybuilding Federation of Nghe An province were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An for their many contributions to the movement./.
