Mr. Kunio Umeda, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, apologized to Mr. Le Anh Hao's family and initially informed about the suspect's arrest.

“I and the Japanese people are heartbroken by this incident. I apologize to the family and hope Linh's soul rests in peace. Although we know Linh will never return, today's arrest of the suspect has made me and the Japanese people feel relieved,” said Kunio Umeda.

Although very heartbroken by his daughter's incident, Mr. Le Anh Hao, on behalf of his family, thanked the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Kunio Umeda, and thanked the Japanese authorities for quickly finding the suspect who murdered his daughter.

Talking to reporters earlier, Mr. Le Anh Hao said: "The family has just received a notice from the Japanese police. The family is currently in Hai Phong and will return to Hung Yen this afternoon to complete procedures to go to Japan immediately. They said the suspect is the president of the parents' association of the school my child is studying at and lives right next to my house.

Although the suspect was caught, everything is still not really clear. The most important thing is that the police must determine the motive for the crime and see if there are any accomplices. I will only forgive the suspect if he gives my daughter back her life."
